Manahattan: Same Time, Next Year. I think?

I love Manhattan. I just spent the last 3 days there, staying in the Upper East side with a tour of the entire city, including a tour of the Statue of Liberty. But I must say, I think the entire island is the epitome of the free market economy. No matter which way you turn, anywhere in Manhattan, you are bombarded with consumption. “Want a NY hot dog? A pretzel? A newspaper? Some flowers? A ride? Some gum?... (posted by Jennifer 358 days 5 hours ago.)
Overwhelming Doubt
1

I haven’t written an article for a while, mainly because I’ve been too busy trying to determine what exactly is my stand on religion, meaning very specifically the Judeo Christian God and the biblical accounts of the said “God”. My acceptance of the evidence for Evolution held me in suspense for quite a while, but even that I had managed to squeeze in to my non literal... (posted by Jennifer 1 year 156 days ago.)
The Tao of Metaphysics

Considering a designer in serious debate is akin to professional suicide. But why? Stephen Meyer's book Signature in the Cell gives a refreshingly optimistic argument... Shakespeare's Sister

Why is it that we tend to think of Nuns as such unhappy, repressed women living in poverty with lousy purses and thick pantyhose? Meanwhile, a priest is revered, educated, and is often entertained by the patronage of the upper classes. Do nuns have such little space within the Catholic church? If you went to parochial school, chances are that you were taught and reared by nuns. We knew where they lived and how they lived. Or so we... (posted by Jennifer 2 years 33 days ago.)
Young Earth Creationists Drive Me Batty
1

There isn't a whole lot that drives me more nutty in this world than young Earth creationists. First of all, I think they have zero respect for science and the meticulous, time consuming, utterly over educated scientific methods employed by the world's most brilliant scientists ( and probably most brilliant people in general). Secondly, I believe that they are embarrassing Christianity... (posted by Jennifer 2 years 49 days ago.)
